The village of Haute Romanche Villar d'Arene, has preserved an ancient tradition, the production of "Bouilli Po' bread boiled.The bread feast of Villar d'Arene is a tradition since the year 1428 about.
The bread is made of rye flour and water boiled, without salt or yeast. It must cook for seven hours and can be stored for several months.
People share this moment of respect for tradition and conviviality during its manufacture the third weekend of November.
